Where to stay for the Rotterdam Marathon 2027: best areas

Rotterdam, Netherlands · Sun 11 Apr 2027 (likely)

WhichMarathon guide · Updated 18 Oct 2026

Rotterdam is a small, easy city for a marathon. Most hotels are within walking distance of the start, and the trains from Amsterdam Schiphol airport are fast.

Where the race starts and finishes

The race starts at the foot of the Erasmus Bridge and finishes on the Coolsingel, the main street in the city centre.

Book a room you can cancel. Race-weekend hotels fill up and get pricier, often before entries or ballot results are confirmed. A free-cancellation room holds today's price. If your plans change, cancel it. Every hotel link on this page shows free-cancellation rooms only.

Trams and buses around the course change on race day. Walking is usually quickest from the centre. Most big races also ask you to collect your bib in person before race day, so arrive at least the day before.
